Wind energy – finance
Vietnamese renewables company BCG Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with turbine maker Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy to secure wind farm equipment worth some USD 400 million.
Under the MoU, which the parties signed on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Summit COP26 in Glasgow, Siemens Gamesa is to supply equipment and technical solutions to BCG Energy to support its plans for wind development in Vietnam, said BCG Energy’s parent company Bamboo Capital Group.
The partnership with Siemens Gamesa will accelerate BCG Energy’s plans to develop more than 500 MW of wind power in Vietnam in the next few years, Bamboo Capital said.
