Wind energy – cable protection
Tekmar Energy has secured an order from subsea cable manufacturer Nexans to supply Cable Protection Systems (CPS) for an offshore wind farm project in Europe.
Under the contract, Tekmar Energy will design, manufacture, and deliver its CPS technology to protect the wind farm’s 500MW capacity subsea transmission link.
The systems will be manufactured at Tekmar Energy’s facility in the North East of England and delivered to Norway in Q4 2021.
