General – innovation
Yesterday Vattenfall CEO Anna Borg participated in talks on how to drive demand for new technologies and innovation to reduce emissions in sectors where it is needed the most.
Together with a few other she was invited by US Presidential Special Envoy for the Climate, John Kerry to participate in a discussion at the World Economic Forum in Geneva.
The focus was how to increase demand for new technologies that can eliminate CO2-emissions in some of the hardest to abate sectors. The CEOs talked about how they can turn strong climate ambitions into actions here and now.
This new initiative is called First Movers Coalition and is planned to be launched at COP26 (UN Climate Change Conference) in Glasgow.
