French Government shortlists floating tender candidates

Wind energy – floating wind

The French government has shortlisted 10 candidates who will submit bids for the construction and operation of the 250MW floating offshore wind project south of Brittany.

The candidates are: Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Eni; EDF Renouvelables and Maple Power Ltd; Elicio NV and BayWa r.e. France; Equinor; Iberdrola; ENGIE and EDPR France; RWE; Shell; Groupe VALECO, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG and Groupe Caisse des Dépôts; TotalEnergies, Green Investment Group and Qair Group; and Wpd, Vattenfall and BlueFloat Energy.

The winner is due to be announced next year and the commissioning of the wind farm is scheduled for 2029.
