Wind energy – investment
Yesterday Peter Obling, Head of Markets & Commercial, Continental Europe at Ørsted, explained in Dagens Industri that Ørsted is ready to invest tens of billion SEK in constructing offshore wind in order for Sweden to get access to large scale renewable energy and meet its net zero CO2 targets.
He stated that this can only be successful if there is transparency in the Swedish regulation and that soon key decisions will be made regarding e.g. the power grid to be extended offshore. According to Peter Obling this is a proposal that should have entered into force 1 August this year.
