Wednesday, June 30 2021

Wind Energy – Hornsea Two

In total 165 monopiles and transition pieces will be installed in preparation for the 8 MW turbines.

This is the third wind farm project where DEME Offshore is responsible for the installation of more than 100 foundations.

The heaviest piles at Hornsea Two weigh around 1,250 tonnes and have a diameter of 9.5 m.

The highest safety standards, production/supply chain efficiency and innovation are all vital ingredients to ensure success at this large-scale project, alongside a strong partnership with DEME Offshore’sour client Ørsted.

Hornsea Two will generate 1.4 GW of clean energy and is set to become the largest offshore wind farm in the world.
