Saipem has won a new offshore wind contract worth 460 million euros.
The contract is awarded by Eoliennes Offshore du Calvados SAS (EODC) for the French offshore wind farm Courseulles-sur-Mer Offshore Wind Farm in Normandy.
The contract is worth 460 million euros, and involves the design, construction and installation of 64 foundations at the offshore wind farm, which is supposed to bear an equivalent number of turbines. Saipem will use its 162 meters long crane vessel to install the foundations.
The Courseulles-sur-Mer Offshore Wind Farm is located in water depths ranging from 22 to 31 meters, and up to 16 km off the coast of the Calvados region.
The contract is subject to EODC reaching a final investment decision on the project.
