How does Holland view natural gas and natural gas production in the context of energy transition?

Recent research among the Dutch public, conducted by Kantar on behalf of NOGEPA, shows that the Dutch still see a role for natural gas in the transition to a sustainable energy supply.

Attitudes towards natural gas production in Dutch small fields appear to be more positive (33%) than negative (17%).

The main reason to have a positive attitude towards natural gas production in Dutch small fields is to not be dependent on natural gas from abroad (81%).
