Ron Hagen has been appointed as the new director of Noordgastransport in the Netherlands, per 1 September 2020.
He will be succeeding Kees van Braak, who held this position for more than 30 years. Van Braak will continue to work as an advisor for another year to ensure a solid transition.
Ron Hagen (1966) is no stranger to the gas sector. He started his career at Elf Petroland and held various international positions at Shell and Oranje-Nassau Energie. He has been working at Neptune Energy as a Business Development Manager since February 2019.
Hagen: “I am proud to be given the opportunity to lead this beautiful organisation. As we see, offshore companies are not all equally well-known. However, they are the silent force behind a substantial part of the energy supply in the Netherlands. Noordgastransport, with its extensive offshore network, plays an important role in transporting gas from the North Sea to Dutch households and industry. We have been fulfilling that role for decades. With our network being suitable for hydrogen we as Noordgastransport can surely play an important role in the energy transition in the Netherlands.”
