Ship design consultancy, International Contract Engineering (ICE), Isle of Man registered, designed a G-1600-SM/W FPSO Hull with a capability to manage 180,000 barrels of oil per day production and a storage capacity of 2.4 million barrels of oil.
Topside configuration weight up to 30,000 tons and comes with spread mooring system with risers on the sides, which can also be adoptable to complement a turret mooring system. .
ICE claims that design is capable of a 30-years’ service life without dry-docking.
The FPSO hull design can accommodate 200 persons onboard.
US based world leading classification society ABS awarded an Approval in Principle (AIP) to ICE’s design. ABS found that the proposed design and methodologies are feasible in principle, and that the conceptual engineering as proposed is compliant with the requirements of ABS Rules.
