The Dutch Gasunie and Port of Amsterdam want to realize a regional hydrogen backbone in the North Sea canal area over the next 5 years.
A feasibility study is yet to be completed this year on whether this is spatially, economically and technically feasible.
With the development of this regional hydrogen pipeline between IJmuiden and Amsterdam, the market for sustainable hydrogen is stimulated and a significant contribution is made to the energy transition goals of the national Climate Agreement.
