Norway-based shipowner Østensjø Rederi and US-based Foss Maritime have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a service operation vessel (SOV) partnership to provide SOVs to owners and operators of offshore wind projects in US waters.
The partnership brings together two companies with a proven history and longstanding relationships with clients.
“With state-of-the-art vessel designs and proven solutions to client needs, the combined capabilities of Foss and Østensjø will provide outstanding services to the offshore wind industry,” said the companies.
Foss Maritime vice president Paul Gallagher added: “After spending time in Europe engaging with marine service providers, we are very fortunate to have developed this relationship with the experienced team at Østensjø. We look forward to bringing the collective resources of our two companies together to develop safe and cost competitive marine solutions for the offshore renewables market in the US.”
