Equinor is planning start-up Utgard field during the course of September 2019.
The field is located on the border with the UK, and the Norwegian share is 62 per cent. It is located 20 kilometers west of the Sleipner field center. The water depth is 110-120 meters.
Consent for start-up of Utgard is granted to the licensees in production licences 046E and 046F on the Norwegian shelf and in production licence 312 on the UK shelf.
The development concept is a 4-slot subsea template with two wells tied-back to the Sleipner T facility for processing and reduction of the CO2 level in the gas. The subsea template will be located in the Norwegian sector.
The production will take place from two wells from a subsea template linked to the Sleipner T process platform with a pipeline and a communications cable. Modifications have also been made on Sleipner T in order to process the wellstream from Utgard.
Utgard field was discovered in 1982 and the plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in early 2017.
