Van Oord in consortium with TechnipFMC has been awarded a major contract by Anadarko Moçambique Área 1, for its Area 1 Mozambique Golfinho/Atum development.
The contract will cover the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) of the subsea systems1. Van Oord will execute the shallow offshore installation scope while its consortium partner TechnipFMC is responsible for the deep water scope.

The Anadarko-led Area 1 Mozambique LNG project will be Mozambique’s first onshore LNG development, initially consisting of two LNG trains with total nameplate capacity of 12.88 Mtpa to support the development of the Golfinho/Atum fields located entirely within Offshore Area 1.
TechnipFMC will provide subsea hardware system through its wholly owned UAE incorporated subsidiary, Technip Middle East FZCO and Offshore Installation will be executed by its consortium partner Van Oord, through their wholly owned UAE incorporated subsidiary, Van Oord Gulf FZE, and in cooperation with strategic major subcontractor, Allseas.
In addition, London based subsea, onshore/offshore and surface projects ‘TechnipFMC’ has been awarded separate contracts under its wholly owned US incorporated subsidiary FMCTI (FMC Technologies Inc.), to provide subsea hardware in support of well construction and the EPCI scope.
