Sapura Energy Berhad (Sapura Energy) said today that, company has been awarded 10 new contracts for its Engineering & Construction and Drilling segments, valued at approximately RM1 billion.
The new contract wins, secured across Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Australia, include Sapura Energy’s first offshore wind farm contract. In addition, Sapura Energy has been selected for a frame agreement with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) for fixed offshore structure works.
Sapura Offshore wins a contract from Yunneng Wind Power for the provision of Transportation and Installation (T&I) of offshore wind turbine substructures.
The scope of work includes the transportation and installation of substructures (foundations) for offshore wind turbines at the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan.
Sapura Fabrication has signed a six-year frame agreement with PETRONAS for the provision of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of fixed offshore structure works.
The agreement consists of two packages, namely for fixed offshore structures of weight exceeding 7,500 metric tonnes (MT) and fixed offshore structures of weight not exceeding or equal to 7,500 MT.
The frame agreement is applicable for projects under the Petroleum Arrangement Contractors including PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Shell Bhd /Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited, Murphy Sarawak Oil Co., Ltd. / Murphy Sabah Oil Co. Ltd., Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Limited, and ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Incorporated.
Sapura Drilling won a contract from Sarawak Shell Berhad and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited for the provision of its semi tender-assisted drilling rig, Sapura Esperanza.
The scope comprises the provision of its semi-submersible tender assisted drilling rig services or the F14 field, offshore Malaysia, for two wells with multiple extension periods accumulating to 17 additional wells in aggregate.
Drilling segment also managed to secure a contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of its tender-assisted drilling rig, Sapura T-10, for the West Lutong Drilling Program. The contract covers drilling rig services for four wells at the West Lutong Field, with extension options of one-plus-one well.
Additionally, Sapura Drilling Asia has been awarded a contract by Chevron Thailand Exploration & Production Limited for the provision Sapura T-18. The work entails tender-assisted drilling rig services offshore Thailand.
Sapura Offshore has been awarded with a contract for the provision of T&I of subsea flexible pipelines and risers for the Layang Development Project by JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Malaysia) Limited. The Layang field, located offshore Sarawak, Malaysia, is developed from an unmanned wellhead platform connected with a subsea flexible pipeline to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading.
Sapura Projects secured a contract from Cooper Energy for the provision of subsea services associated with repairs of the subsea umbilical system for the Casino Henry and Netherby Electrical Umbilical Backbone Repair Project in offshore western Victoria, Australia. The contract includes the modification of existing and installation of the new subsea umbilical and ancillary appurtenances from Casino 5 UTA to Netherby, which form part of the Casino Henry and Netherby Electrical Backbone Repair project, company added.
Meanwhile, in the Gulf of Thailand, Sapura Energy (Thailand) Limited was awarded two contracts by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) and PTTEP International Limited (PTTEPI).
Sapura Energy Thailand is undertaking engineering, procurement, construction and installation works for the FS02 Riser Hose Replacement, hook-up, tie-in and pre-commissioning for four sections of the new flexible riser hoses at the Bongkot gas field, at water depths of approximately 80 meters.
