The topside of the offshore substation for the Rentel Offshore Windfarm has been successfully installed!
The 1100 tonnes substation will collect and export the power generated by the 42 wind turbines at the 309 MW Rentel Offshore Windfarm in the Belgian North Sea.
It transforms the produced wind energy to 220 kV high voltage and conducts the electricity to the main land, in order to deliver Belgian green energy to consumers.
As from mid-2018, the Rentel wind farm will produce green energy for 300,000 households!
DEME, with its subsidiaries GeoSea and Tideway, is the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contractor for the wind farm.
