North Sea Stella produces first oil

Monday, February 20 2017

Production has started from the Stella field in the UK central North Sea, according to operator Ithaca Energy.

Oil export is also under way to the shuttle tanker alongside the field’s semisubmersible platform.

Ithaca expects production ramp-up to begin once the current commissioning of the gas processing and compression facilities has been completed.
